Gas pressure technology

Bilstein developed gas pressure technology for shock absorbers that has now been established as a standard in the industry. The technology enables shocks to absorb impacts more reliably and effectively.

Whereas traditional oil shocks can suffer from shock fade caused by bubble formation, Bilstein’s gas pressure shocks solve this problem. They keep the oil in the shock absorber under pressure to prevent cavitation under extreme temperatures and stress. As a result, full damping power is retained, which makes for a safer and more dynamic driving experience under any load.

Off-Road Performance
